Game Trailers closes down after 13 years

It’s a sad day for gaming

They announced on Twitter that they would be shutting down after a long and largely successful 13 years of service.

After 13 years, GameTrailers is closing down today. Thank you for your continued support over the years. It has been an adventure.

Game Trailer’s Associate Editor, Ben Moore also took to NeoGaf to confirm the news with a post with the information that the whole team has unfortunately been let go.

While there’s not much we can do to help, we wish them all the very best in the future and thank all of the staff from over the years for their hard work.

If it wasn’t for Game Trailers, there would probably be a whole lot less passionate gamers around the world thanks to their excellent production of video reviews and many other features during the games industry’s transition from magazines to online.
